Skin Care Facial – Ideal for All Skin Types

In keeping with the demands of the users, a number of products are available in the market to ensure proper care of every skin type. These face packs or facemasks are easy to use and offer startling results when used in the right manner. They work by firming your skin and tightening the pores. Facials work in different manners offering a wide variety of beneficial results. This includes stimulation of surface circulation, relaxing and soothing the facial muscles, and making the complexion fresher and brighter.

So is a face pack similar to the facial mask? There are definite similarities but a mask also comes with different corrective properties that clear up skin blemish and reduces the oiliness.  When you want to pamper your skin and treat your normal or dry skin, go for an appropriate facemask and you will feel rejuvenated instantly. However, before you apply the masks do not forget to clean the surface thoroughly using a cleanser.

Mask for normal skin

Do you have normal skin? Then an application of facemask on a weekly basis on once in 10 days is sufficient to keep your skin clear and toned. Those who want can also apply it on a needs basis besides the timely treatments. Are you going out for a special occasion? Does your skin appear slightly dull or shallow? Apply the mask to get immediate perking up results.

Mask for dry skin

If you have, dry skin then biweekly application of masks seems appropriate. This helps relax facial muscles while removing dead cells and dry patches effectively. People with oily skin, on the other hand, can go for mask applications two times in a week to get the BEST results. For problem skin types, medicated packs are ideal.

Combination skin type

This requires separate plans for a skin type to get the desired effects. Alternate the treatments every week and mark the calendar too to make sure confusion does not occur.

Mask for sensitive skin

People with sensitive skin always need to protect themselves from the negative effects of different body care products. Suitability of the packs and masks is crucial to prevent allergies or eruptions. Even the cleansers you use should contain all-natural products such as Kaolin, Phytessence Wakame or Cynergy TK. Look for cleansers that do not contain any kind of fragrance chemicals that because of the irritation to your skin.

Those who want can use homemade face packs or masks to ensure the best results minus side effects. These are surprisingly easy to prepare and you require natural and easily available products like oatmeal, egg white, honey, cucumber, and lemon juice. With these, you can get the maximum benefits and the best thing about them is their suitability for all skin types.

Scientifically developed and well-executed skin care facial is an ideal way to do away with the lingering effects of stress, tension, unhealthy lifestyle, and aging. In order to ensure the desired results find a good quality product compatible with your skin type. After this, appearing your BEST becomes only a matter of time!

Cosmetic Surgery vs. Minimally Invasive Procedures: What You Need to Know

Cosmetic surgery is increasingly visible in popular culture. It has become destigmatized over time and is even normalized to an extent. No longer is it relegated to the halls of the rich and famous, who, at one point, were the only people able to afford such a luxury.

People seek out cosmetic enhancements in makeup, skincare, and hair care. It is only natural that they turn their eyes to more permanent and, perhaps, even more, cost-effective solutions in surgery and injections.

In 2018, there were 17.7 million cosmetic procedures conducted. Of those total procedures, the vast majority were minimally invasive, such as injections or fillers. Only 1.8 million of those 17.7 million procedures were surgical in nature.

Breast augmentation was the most popular cosmetic surgery performed in 2018. Meanwhile, Botulinum toxin type A (aka botox) was by far the most popular cosmetic procedure across the board, with a staggering 7.8 million performed.

If you are considering cosmetic enhancements in either surgical or a minimally form, you should know the nuanced differences between the two to decide which is best suited to your needs. Here’s what you need to know before taking the plunge.

It’s Not Plastic Surgery

Cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery have been conflated in the public consciousness, but they are two very different things. The main difference between them can be found in their intended purposes.

Plastic surgery refers to the reconstruction of certain features as a result of medical conditions. It corrects deformations or dysfunctions in the performance of the human body incurred as a result of trauma or illness.

On the other hand, cosmetic procedures are undertaken with the solitary goal of enhancing the appearance of a patient. The sole aim of cosmetic surgery and cosmetic fillers or injections is to alter the aesthetic of a body part too, ideally, improve the recipient’s self-confidence. For more information, you can visit https://revivology.com/surgical/.

What Fillers and Injections Can Do

There are a wide variety of different fillers and injections available. The most popular of these treatments aim to resolve aesthetic issues surrounding the skin. Take botox, for example, Botox is an injectable used to give the recipient “tighter” skin. It will resolve sagging or wrinkles that come with natural aging processes of the skin, such crow’s feet.

Fillers, on the other hand, are aimed at doing just what their name suggests: filling! Fillers like dermal fillers can give volume to parts of your face that are lacking, such as a weak chin or too-hollow cheeks. They can also “fill” wrinkle lines to give your face an overall smoother appearance.

While fillers and injections are literally called “minimally invasive” procedures, that does not mean they are without an element of risk. Like any cosmetic procedure, in rare cases, things can and do go wrong. Some negative side effects are benign, like fillers altering the shape of lips overtime in an unnatural way. Others are more serious, like the blindness reported as an incredibly rare side effect of fillers injected around the nose area.

What Cosmetic Surgery Can Do

Whereas fillers and injections can, sometimes only temporarily, alter the appearance of fine lines and the shape of your face, cosmetic surgery is near limitless. It has the potential to completely alter the aesthetic of any part of your body.

A lot of cosmetic surgical procedures aim to “lift” areas of the body to give the appearance of more youthful, elastic skin. There are lifts for the various parts of your face, such as eyelids and brows (as well as your face at large). Then there are lifts that span the entirety of your bodies, such as butt and breast lifts.

There is also the option to “fill” in areas you find lacking with more permanent fillers. The most notorious of these is a breast augmentation, but there are also lesser-known procedures such as chin implants to consider that require surgery to perform (as opposed to a minimally invasive injection). Other plastic surgery procedures include “tummy tucks” and liposuction, which both aim to reduce the appearance of fat and excess skin.

There are also reconstructive procedures that are performed for reasons other than simple aesthetics, like labioplasty. Labioplasty might be performed on a woman who finds that her protruding labia is uncomfortable in certain situations. While this is obviously more than aesthetic in nature, it does not rise to the level of plastic surgery, so it is still considered cosmetic. Breast reduction also falls beneath the umbrella of plastic surgery, though many women seek the procedure out to maximize their own comfort and well-being.

Which is Right for You?

Whether you seek out cosmetic surgery or a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure, take care that the performing physician is reputable and licensed. Never buy any self-administered procedures that claim to give you surgical results. Talk to your physician to see if fillers or minimally invasive procedures can provide you with the results you seek before seeking out surgery.

5 Counterintuitive Health And Beauty Tips

Trying to zap zits? Hoping for whiter teeth? Find out when the best strategy to conquer these and more pesky problems is to ignore your instincts.

1. If you want to banish bloat…

Drink more! When you’re retaining enough water to make Shamu jealous, drinking even more H2O seems like the last thing you should do. Do it anyway! Bloating happens when your kidneys sense dropping fluid levels and order your body to hang on to all the water its got. This can happen from over-indulging in salty snacks or from skipping water after your super-sweaty spin class.
To calm your kidneys and slip into your skinny jeans, drink water throughout the day. Every little bit helps, so don’t worry if you can’t swallow the recommended 64 ounces (eight 8-ounce glasses) of water per day. According to experts at the Mayo Clinic, “the eight-by-eight rule isn’t supported by hard evidence, but it remains popular because it’s easy to remember.” The rule should state: “Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day,” because all fluids count toward the daily total.

2. If you want whiter teeth…

Brushless! According to a recent survey conducted by the American Dental Association (ADA), “90 percent of respondents mistakenly believe they should brush after every meal when the ADA recommends only twice a day.” Brushing too often can erode the enamel on your teeth, making them weaker, more prone to cavities, and less white. Be especially cautious after eating acidic foods such as tomatoes or citrus fruit, as brushing immediately after can push the acid deeper into your teeth, causing further erosion.
To keep your pearly whites, well, white, the ADA recommends waiting 30 minutes after drinking OJ or eating other acidic foods to brush your teeth. In a hurry? Chew a piece of sugar-free gum instead. The xylitol has been shown to reduce acid on teeth.

3. If you want to drop a dress size…

Gain weight! This doesn’t mean you should curl up with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s this weekend. That would translate into gaining fat, and the weight we’re talking about is lean muscle mass. Many women notice that when they start a regular weight-lifting program, they gain weight yet look smaller. This is because muscle tissue is denser (tightly packed) than fat. So while the number on the scale may go up, your jeans size goes down.

4. If you want to be happier…

Spend less time talking about your problems! “When we feel dissatisfied or frustrated by something, we respond by engaging in an exclusively human behavior-we complain,” says Guy Winch, Ph.D., in an interview with Psychology Today. “We complain about things large and small and do so with great frequency. This should surprise no one. What is surprising is that although we all invest prodigious amounts of time complaining, almost all of it is wasted. We do practically nothing to resolve our complaints.”
It’s a vicious cycle: The more someone complains the less likely they are to fix the problem and the more likely they are to feel worse about it. According to Dr. Winch, this happens because of something called “learned helplessness,” a psychological state that describes what happens when people believe they have no control over their environment. “When we become convinced our actions will not have the impact we desire, we cease our efforts and become passive and helpless,” Dr. Winch says.
This doesn’t mean you should always bottle up your emotions. Experts say there’s a fine line between venting and complaining. While there’s nothing wrong with blowing off some steam to a friend, be careful not to get caught up in a negative downward spiral. And don’t forget to count your blessings on occasion-research shows that expressing gratitude is one of the most powerful ways to boost happiness.

5. If you want fewer breakouts…

Eat more chocolate! Chocolate gets a bad rap when it comes to acne, but the National Institute of Health says it’s not warranted. “There are many myths about what causes acne. Chocolate and greasy foods are often blamed, but there is little evidence that foods have much effect on acne in most people.”
The truth: Chocolate is actually good for your skin! The flavonoids in dark chocolate can help reduce inflammation and redness, protect the skin from sun damage (fewer wrinkles!), and help resolve acne by improving blood flow to the skin, according to a 2007 study published in the International Journal of Cardiology. Just be sure to keep your serving size in check. Subjects in the study were given 45g of dark chocolate per day. That translates to about 1.5 ounces, which is the amount in one standard-size Hershey’s bar.

Eczema and Skin Rashes Removal Tips.

Atopic Dermatitis which is also known as eczema is a common itchy skin disease in Portland that typically starts early in infancy or childhood. It affects approximately 17% of children and usually begins in the first year of life. The symptoms include intense itching along with red scaly lesions. Most children grow out eczema.

Eczema, eczema is also called dermatitis: Removing eczema and skin rashes from the body sometimes are not easy most especially those stubborn type of eczema like Nummular. When infected with eczema, the skin becomes inflamed and irritating and this makes the condition worse because you can’t feel comfortable with it. Where others will likely pull off their clothes in other to receive fresh breeze or for sunbathing, an infected individual will never feel comfortable doing that. So, how can this mess be cleared in the body?

Whatever the type of eczema you have, the main treatment is the same.  Your Doctor or Nurse will prescribe you an emollient to moisturize the skin and, if the skin is inflamed, a topical corticosteroid to reduce the inflammation may be prescribed.

The itchy just like conjunctivitis, dry, patchy signs of eczema are the immune system’s response to an irritant like soaps or pet dander. Stress, illness, hot or cold temperatures, and other triggers or irritants can also cause flare-ups.

Eczema and Skin Rashes Removal Tips.

Below are the suggested tips to clear up eczema and skin rashes from the body
  • The use of natural soaps and cleaners are recommended: Avoid products containing fragrances and drying agents. They act as irritants to the skin and can trigger a flare-up.
  • Moisturize skin immediately after showering: While the skin is still moist, it will better absorb moisturizing creams and lotions. Use products that do not contain any dyes or fragrances.
  • Track dietary triggers: There are many foods that commonly trigger eczema flare-ups. Keep a diary to track personal triggers, which should be avoided. Common dietary triggers include milk, wheat products, eggs, tomatoes, shellfish, and nuts.
  • Wash with lukewarm water: Hot water is very drying and should be replaced with warm or cool temperatures. Cold compresses to an affected area can also relieve itching.
  • Pat dry: Use a cotton towel to gently pat skin dry. Do not rub the skin, which will cause further irritation.
  • Lower stress levels: Find a method to reduce stress, which can exacerbate eczema symptoms. Try reading, yoga or meditating to de-stress.
  • Humidify the house: If the air in your house is dry, skin can become irritated and cause a flare-up. Use a humidifier to keep the air moist.
  • The use of medical treatments: If palliative measures are unsuccessful, there are prescribed medical treatments that can help control symptoms. Some of the choices include hydrocortisone cream or oral steroids to reduce inflammation; antibiotics to treat infection; tar treatments to reduce itching; phototherapy using ultraviolet light to treat the skin; oral cyclosporine or FDA-approved topical immunomodulators like Elidel or Protopic.

Adults tend to be affected by different eczema types more than children. It is also quite usual to have more than one. This can make it slightly harder to manage, but definitely not impossible. It is important to get a correct diagnosis. It makes managing and treating easier. Eczema cannot be cured but the symptoms can be well-managed with some undemanding skin care and changes in diet. Always seek the guidance of a primary care physician or dermatologist to develop the most appropriate treatment plan.

Natural Health Wonders: How it can Help Your Skin

Many men and women should realize that not all effective and important skin solutions are found in bottled products. Sometimes, they can be found in your pantry, in your garden or you’re on your grocery list.

Amazing skin can and Hair can be achieved naturally. ( Propecia ) But of course, your bottled products can do it too. But once you decided first to save a bit, then go straight to your pantry.

Natural Anti-aging

Natural anti-aging ingredients include the usual things like the lemon, honey, pomegranate, berries. You found them always in your skin care products. They are effective anti-wrinkle treatments too. They work wonders.

For a better view of things, see the following ingredients defined:

  1. Honey:  You know your skin care products can’t be complete without honey. It can be present in lotions, makeup, and moisturizers. Shampoos and soaps have them too. It retains moisture which is a good way to fight wrinkles which are caused by dryness.
  2. Lemon:  The universal beauty product, lemon. It issued mainly to lighten skin. It has great lightening power. It is also very good for cleaning your skin. It lightens up the scar and keeps your complexion glowing and bright. Lemon is also known for its pore tightening effect. Many women sue lemon together with honey for moisturizer.
  3. Olive oil:  Olive oil isn’t just healthy to eat, to apply in your skin too. It contains anti-oxidants and is anti-inflammatory. It also works well as an anti-aging and anti-wrinkle cream. It helps fight free radicals which would mainly keep your skin supple and keep it away from damages caused by many actors.
  4. Shea butter:  Shea butter works as a moisturizer. And the proof is it is everywhere, in your lotions and shampoos too. Shea butter is hard to come by; you have t import it from Africa though you can always order it online.
  5. Aloe Vera:  Aloe Vera is restorative. It also helps keep skin supple and is very good for the hair. It keeps skin tight and firm too. It slows down the aging process and keeps you looking younger. It can be used even is make up base, mind you.

These pantry staples here are very useful. At times you may only ignore them but then you may find them really helpful with just a little twist of artistry in preparation. Use them directly, mix them up, you have all the choice in the world.

A little ingenuity won’t hurt. It will help you save and would even keep you healthy. For once, you can try to let go of your other skin care products and go back to the basic and raw ingredients. You can try it for a while and go back to your old routine. You can sue them alternately. This way you give your skin a time to breath.

So next time you go to the grocery, include the things mentioned above. This will be a sure way to fight to age and enhance your skin’s glow.

Have you ever thought of switching from conventional skin care products to making yours the natural way? Advertisements will give the impression that shelf products sold in drug stores have all the ingredients needed to keep your skin healthy. The downside of these regular skin care products is that you never know how they came to be – if toxic ingredients or harmful chemicals were used when making them.

Only brands like Premier Dead Sea which use natural elements from, as the name suggests, the Dead Sea, in the development of their products can be trusted. You will discover that homemade skin care recipes are much better and safer. It also means that you get to spend less money on skin care. Here are some of DIY skin care recipes, courtesy of Premier Dead Sea.

  • Detoxifying Face Mask

Ingredients

4 capsules activated charcoal
½ cup bentonite clay
1 tablespoon oatmeal (finely ground)
1 tablespoon green tea (finely ground)
1 tablespoon hibiscus (finely ground)
1 tablespoon rosehips (finely ground)

Directions

  • Thoroughly mix all the powders in a glass or wooden bowl. Don’t use non-metal utensils (to avoid the deactivation of the negative charge in the bentonite clay).
  • You need to store the face mask in a plastic container or glass in a cool, dark place.

Using the Detoxifying mask

Mix one or two tablespoons of the powdered mud mask with two to four tablespoons of hydrosol.( you may also use herbal tea, yoghurt, milk honey or fresh juice for extra heat) Allow the mud to sit for five minutes then apply it to your face. Allow the mask to stay between 15 to 20 minutes, spraying your face with either hydrosol, water or toner when it when it starts to dry or tighten. Rinse your face gently with a cloth and after that use a moisturizer (to close the pores and lock in the moisture).

Using a mask on a regular basis will do wonders to your facial skin, as explained in this YouTube video by Niki Murphy, a beauty and fashion guru.

  • Anti-wrinkle salad

This energy-giving fruit salad is packed with anti-oxidants, which protect the skin from the sun’s ultraviolet light. It also boosts circulation to help deliver essential nutrients to skin. Start your day on a beautiful note by eating it for breakfast.

Ingredients:
½ cup fresh blueberries.
½ cup fresh strawberries
1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
½ cup pomegranate seeds
½ cup organic orange juice
1 handful chopped walnuts

Directions:
Mix the first four ingredients in a small bowl. Pour the orange juice over the mixture and sprinkle with the walnuts.

  • Basil Toner

This recipe is best suits those prone to acne. The basil acts as an antiseptic helps get rid of acne-causing bacteria, and improves circulation to the skin.

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons dried basil leaves
1 cup boiling water

Directions:
Mix the crushed up dried basil leaves into a cup of boiling water. Once the mixture cools, strain out the leaves, put it in a spray bottle and sprinkle your skin. Use a cotton pad to apply the toner around your face. Repeat this daily before cleansing.

  • Coconut Deep Conditioner

This recipe keeps your hair smooth, shiny and hydrated with this natural conditioning treatment; apply it once a week.

Ingredients:
½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon coconut extract

Directions:
Mix all the ingredients together, apply and cover your scalp with a plastic wrap (like Saran Wrap). Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, and then rinse your hair thoroughly.

  • Sea Salt Scrub

Just the way Premier Dead Sea uses salt from the Dead Sea to make its skin care products – they even have their own beach, the Dead Sea Premier Ein Bokek beach on Trip Advisor – you can also make your own. Salt from the sea has nutrients and minerals like potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium which are beneficial to your skin. Sea salt has anti-inflammatory properties and helps reduce irritation, soothes the skin and balances oil production. Here is a recipe for a homemade scrub.

Ingredients

2 teaspoons real salt

4 teaspoons raw honey

Directions

Mix the raw honey and real salt in a small bowl. Apply the mix evenly to clean skin. Let it stay like that of 15 minutes then rinse.

There are countless other recipes for these natural skin care products. They are always safe and environmental friendly. If you’re looking forward to making the products for yourself, check to see they are unprocessed and without harmful chemicals or anything artificial. The reason for this is that the closer to nature the natural skin product is, the more your skin will benefit from it.

Your face is the feature that stands out the most when you look in the mirror. It’s what others are going to remember about you. It can fill you with confidence or make you want to stay hidden from others. It all depends on how you feel about yourself. If you are not happy with something about the appearance of your face, you may want to make a change. Your plastic surgeon can lead the way when you want to transform something about your face. If you are looking at more extreme changes, like the shape of your nose or drooping eyelids, surgery is going to be the answer. However, you can pick a much simpler type of procedure that can produce dramatic results. Dermal fillers are a popular solution when it comes to addressing many issues with the face. If you are not happy with the way you look and you are ready to make a change, this may be the best option for you. Find out what areas can be targeted with dermal fillers as you consider ways to enhance the appearance of your face.

Give Yourself Some More Volume

You may have feel like you need your face to be fuller, especially when it comes to your cheekbones. You may have always had a thin face or you may find that you have hollows after weight loss. Your face can lose fullness as you get older as well. Dermal fillers can be used to target areas where you feel that your face needs more volume. You will be in and out of the office in a short amount of time. You will be able to enjoy your results as soon as you leave.

Plump Up Your Lips

If you want a luscious pout and feel like your lips leave something to be desired, dermal fillers can add fullness to your mouth as well. Aging can affect the shape and volume of your lips. They may look like they are disappearing. If you want to pucker up and feel confident about your lips, consider using dermal fillers to remedy the situation.

Target Lines Around Your Nose and Mouth

As you get older, you are likely to develop lines that run between your nose and your mouth. They’re known as nasolabial folds. As they get more pronounced, you may not be happy about the appearance of those lines. If they are really deep, they can make you look older than your years. Dermal fillers can lift those lines and make your face look smoother.

Target Those Lines Around Your Lips

It’s common to develop lines around your mouth that can really make you look older. Dermal fillers can give you positive results. Combine it with fillers to add volume and you will really be able to give your mouth the attention it deserves.

Eliminate Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are a common problem around the eyes. Those lines or creases can make you look old and tired. Give yourself a boost with the rejuvenating effect of dermal fillers.

Smooth Those Lines and Creases on Your Forehead

Years of smiling, laughing, and frowning will take a toll on your forehead. You’re bound to have a few lines that become more pronounced every time you open your eyes wide or raise your eyebrows. If you want to smooth away those lines, dermal fillers can be effective for you.

You can schedule your session while you are taking your break for lunch. You’ll love the boost of confidence you have as soon as you walk out of your plastic surgeon’s office.

Your Results are Temporary

Dermal fillers tend to last between three months and a year, while six months is a typical rule of thumb. If you are not sure if you will like your results or not, you can start small. If you love it, you can always come back for another treatment when your effects wear off or consider something more permanent, like a face lift or implants. If you’re not as happy as you thought you would be, you can have peace of mind knowing that it won’t be long before your effects wear off.

Are Dermal Fillers Safe for You?

There are many types of dermal fillers that can produce positive results. However, you need to be careful to ensure you won’t have a reaction to your filler. If you have severe allergies or you tend to scar easily, your plastic surgeon may point you in a different direction.

The Do’s and Don’ts of a Great Night Out

It’s a scene repeated by millions of women every weekend night throughout the world. Clothes spread from one side of the room to another, makeup lining the bathroom counter, eyelash glue sticking to everything but your lashes –  and you were supposed to be out the door fifteen minutes ago! You can have a great night out and keep your sanity and safety in check. Here’s your guide to the do’s and do nots of a great night out!

Slow Down

It is easy to forget things when you’re in a rush to get out of the door, and forgetting something important can easily ruin your night. Relax. Take a deep breath and picture how you want to look when you walk through the doors of your destination. Got that image? Now, make it happen!

Don’t forget certain essentials such as your cell phone, charger, ID card and/or driver’s license and money.

Use the facilities before you leave your house so you won’t be stuck somewhere without a restroom. Having to find a bathroom isn’t the way to start your perfect night out!

Find Your Own Style

Have fun with it! Have you wanted to try winged eyeliner or a hot new red mini dress? Maybe you’ve been thinking about bringing out your platform shoes. Go for it! This is your night, and you should own it.  Although, if you’re serious about the platform shoes you might want to plan your transportation for the evening accordingly!

Call A Few Friends

Friends always make a great night even better.  Everyone should have their entourage with them for both fun (and safety). Give a few friends a call earlier in the week and let them know it is time for an epic night on the town.  Make sure everyone knows when and where to meet and that everyone will be able to get home – having the rideshare app on your phone and credit card information entered ahead of time is key to avoiding drinking and driving. Planning your meetup time and location makes for less chaos.

Play It Safe

Your cell phone should be one of the things you bring with you, and make sure it is fully charged. You can keep it on silent if your plans include a nice dinner out, but it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. If you separate from your friends for a while, make sure everyone knows to call one another at a prearranged time to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for. Go over what to do if someone does not check in at that time and have a plan of action. Everyone will be more able to enjoy themselves if they know the ones they care about are safe.

Know Your Limits

Yes, drinking can be fun, especially while out with friends. However, no one enjoys having to babysit their supposedly adult friend when they are trying to have fun themselves! Laughing while you’re sprawled out across the floor is not attractive, and probably stopped being funny seconds after it happened. With smartphones in everyone’s hands these days you could also be setting yourself up for embarrassing photos to pop up somewhere down the road. Do yourself a favor and know when to call it quits on the alcohol. There’s something to be said for having a little dignity. It never goes out of style.

See That Guy? Ask Him to Dance!

Eventually, we will all look back at a certain event and think, “Ugh! I so should have done that!”. We always regret the things we didn’t do rather than the things we did. So, go ahead and take that chance. You never know where it might lead to, and if he says no? It is truly not the end of the world. Shrug it off and move on.

Go with the Flow

When you try to force something, it never turns out the way you want it to. The same goes for the perfect night out. Stop trying to force a certain situation or a certain feeling and just let things happen! Fun and adventure happen when you are least expecting it. The new restaurant you’ve been dying to try closed early? Don’t freak out. Check with your friends and find somewhere else to eat. You could have just avoided a bad case of food poisoning – everything happens for a reason. Try that pizza place down the road with the pool tables in the back or the arcade you used to go to that served the humongous plate of nachos. You would be surprised how many times so-called “ruined plans” are just setting you up for something even better!

When you have dry skin, it’s easy to feel intimidated about applying makeup. And if it’s your first time applying cosmetics, things can get even more frightening.

There’s the endless worrying about your foundation looking caked-on or your dry patches getting more and more noticeable as the day goes on. These things can affect not just the way you look, but the way you feel about yourself, too.

For your skin type, one of the first things you have to do is to hydrate your skin. Choose a moisturizer with great hydrating ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, and apply it while your skin is still damp.

This ingredient has the ability to draw moisture from the air and keep it locked into your skin. It can also form a barrier on your skin’s surface to ensure that there won’t be any more moisture loss.

After you’ve moisturized your skin and applied your makeup, get a good setting spray for your skin type and spray just the right amount of product on your face. Much like moisturizers with hyaluronic acid, the right setting spray for dry skin is one that can provide long-lasting hydration without ruining your final look.

To know more about moisturizing dry skin, here’s an infographic on hyaluronic acid you need to see.

Taking good care of sensitive skin can be quite the challenge. The slightest irritation can cause anything from redness and swelling to breakouts. To make things even worse, some products designed to take care of your skin might even be the source of irritation. To avoid this, you need to get the right cleanser and toner for sensitive skin, plus the rest of the essentials of a complete skin care kit.

There are many skincare products available in the market today, but the ones designed for sensitive skin have the following characteristics:

  • Alcohol-free – Sensitive skin tend to react badly to alcohol, so you should stick to alcohol-free products.
  • No harsh exfoliants – Even some people with normal skin can find products with exfoliants too much. This is even worse for people with sensitive skin, which is more prone to cracking and drying. Exfoliant-free products should be a top priority.
  • Synthetic fragrances – Substances used to create artificial and strong scents can trigger allergic reactions or irritations.
  • Rich in antioxidants – Antioxidants help the skin recover from cell damage, which sensitive skin is prone to. Skincare products with plenty of antioxidants are a must-have in a skincare kit if you have sensitive skin.

Here’s a quick list of recommended products that will help keep your skin glowing and healthy.

Cleanser

The first step in taking care of sensitive skin is getting rid of dirt and dead skin cells. This will keep your pores clear and your skin free from infections. Using a cleanser should be the first step in your regular skin care routine.

For starters, you can try using skin cleansers from Cetaphil. This brand often shows up on forums about skin care and caring for sensitive skin, and for good reason. This budget-friendly cleanser does not have any synthetic fragrances. Plus, it doubles as a moisturizer, so using this is like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone.

Complete Skincare Kit for Sensitive Skin

Toner

A skincare kit isn’t complete without a proper toner. The toner gets rid of whatever the cleanser didn’t get the first time around. In addition, it also helps balance your skin’s pH in preparation for other skincare products.

One toner that’s certainly made for sensitive skin is Missha’s Time Revolution Clear Toner. This item has low concentrations of lactic acid and glycolic acid, making it safe enough for sensitive skin. This product also contains no fragrances and is specially formulated to help skin cells recover faster.

Moisturizer

Moisturizers keep your skin protected from dryness and help it retain its firm, elastic texture. If your skin feels dry and is frequently in need of intense hydration, you can pick up Nature Republic’s Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel Mist. This moisturizer contains aloe vera, a plant that is well-known for its anti-inflammatory qualities. Furthermore, aloe vera contains auxin and gibberellin that help speed up the skin’s healing process. Also, the gel mist is easy to apply and leaves a cooling sensation that soothes and relaxes.

Sunscreen

A complete skincare set for sensitive skin also requires good sun protection. This is because sensitive skin is especially vulnerable to the effects of harsh UV rays. One item that won’t let you down is Etude House’s Sunprise Must Daily Lotion SPF50+ PA+++. This sunscreen lotion is easy to carry around so you can always reapply a layer of much-needed sun protection any time you’re outside. Aside from having a high SPF rating, this sunscreen is also rich with vitamin D, which helps improve the immune system and speeds up skin cell recovery.

Taking care of sensitive skin may be a big challenge, but it’s far from an impossible task. The right choice of skincare products for your kit will help make sure your skin stays healthy and free from irritations all the time.
